Delegate David Rudolph’s 2009 Comments on Toll Hikes

While reviewing information on the current Cecil County toll hikes at the Hatem Bridge I came across some interesting commentary from one of our elected officials on this issue a couple years ago. You have to ask yourself whether these comments haven’t contributed to the sorry predicament we’re facing today.

MD GOP Caucus Proposes Cost Cutting Plan

Below is the MD House Republican Caucus budget proposal that, if enacted, would balance the state budget without increasing taxes. If nothing else this set of slides shows that the state of Maryland is in grave trouble if bold cuts are not implemented soon. The liberal attempt to tax-n-spend the citizens of the state of Maryland all the way to prosperity is not working–as evidenced by our ballooning budget problem.

Gabriel J. Michael of the The Maryland Public Policy Institute is reporting that the Maryland’s Board of Public Works voted on Wednesday to purchase 1,062 slot machines for Penn National Gaming’s casino in Cecil County, at a cost of over $49 million.
