The leadership in Maryland just passed the highest toll increases in state history!! Recently, Republican Senator Nancy Jacobs, Democrat Delegate Mary Delany-James, and others have been publicly claiming “victory” in the battle over the toll increases.  A new toll increase plan was released by the MDTA that was less than what was initially proposed–but the newly revised plan is still a substantial increase of tolls in the state of Maryland and locally in Cecil and Harford Counties.  The citizens of Maryland and especially…

The OECD reports that the U.S. has the most “progressive” taxes in the world. (http://tinyurl.com/3mxwgc6) That means we already make our rich people pay more taxes than any other country does. And yet President Obama recommends what amounts to an “Alternative Minimum Tax” on millionaires. (http://tinyurl.com/3lrblpf) I urge you to reject this misguided idea.
